week’s Samoalive Personality of the Week
is Philipose Jacob
whose family has played a an important role in the education system in
Samoa in the last quarter century.. Mr Jacob resides
with his family at Vaivase-tai. Mr Jacob is presently a Physics lecturer at the
National University of Samoa.
History
of your School Days:
“
After primary and secondary education in India I graduated from the University
of Kerala, India and also underwent special training in teaching Nuffield
Physics”.

Where
to from here:
“Stay
in Samoa as long as the National University of Samoa needs my service; then
retire to my home in India”. “ I always laugh when I meet my old students
and they remind of the anecdotes I used to tell them when they were at
school”. “ I am proud to say that I have taught a lot of the finest minds in
Samoa and am happy to be contributing to the continual education in Samoa”.
