An embittered wanderer comes to a remote Polynesian island dominated by a ruthless religious zealot, with whom he clashes. A lovely island girl tries to win Cooper's heart, but to no avail. Years later he returns to the daughter he fathered there. Authentic scenes of daily village life including dancing and a kava ceremony.  Excellent!
